Welcome to the Glebe Reggio Centre

The Glebe Reggio Centre is a private pre-school and daycare facility located in the heart of Ottawa’s charming Glebe community.

The Centre uses a child-centered teaching technique and draws its inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, which has been adapted to reflect our own Canadian reality. Our philosophy is based on the principle of providing the necessary stimuli in the child’s learning environment, allowing his/her curiosity to motivate the learning process as trained teachers guide what become projects of discovery and understanding. What emerges is zeal and fun while building the necessary fundamentals of reading, writing and arithmetic, and even more importantly, the child’s self confidence in knowing that he/she can reason and discover, independently or through teamwork, to find answers to his/her own questions. The philosophy also embraces the school as an extension of the home and therefore the Centre works closely with parents and the community to deliver a rich and relevant experience for all.
